Poetry Performance at AFL GWS Giants Game

Shaizy is performing a powerful poetry piece as part of 2017 AFL Multicultural Festival presented by AFL and supported by Multicultural NSW, celebrating many wonderful cultures who share a passion for Australian sports. We will celebrate Many Cultures, One Game and highlight the contribution multicultural communities have made to the game’s history as well as welcoming new communities.

The AFL & GWS GIANTS will bring the AFL Multicultural Festival to Western Sydney for the next four years. 2016 was the inaugural year of holding this event in Western Sydney and drew more than 12,000 attendees.

On Saturday, July 29 from 12pm – 6pm at Cathy Freeman Park, Sydney Olympic Park, be prepared for the extraordinary as we celebrate the many cultures that make this great game special as well as welcoming new communities. Shaizy's performance starts at 2pm at Cathy Freeman Park, at Sydney Olympic Park. Please see the Program Schedule here.

The event is FREE and offers rides, a taste of the world food stalls, AFL clinics, henna and face painters, multicultural workshops, Arabic Drummers, Bollywood dancing plus many more performers throughout the day.

Directly across the road from the Multicultural Festival is the GIANTS v Fremantle AFL match, kick off 2:30pm at Spotless Stadium.
